A PRACTICAL ALGORITHM TO DETERMINATION MINIMUM BREAK POINT SET FOR OPTION COORDINATION OF DIRECTIONAL PROTECTIVE RELAYING IN MULTILOOP NETWORKS

A new concept named relay protection dependence-dimension is put forward. Comparing the dependence-dimension is used to compute the minimum break point set (MBPS), and the process is not stopped until all break points of the multiloop networks are discovered and the MBPS is found. By checking the number of a backup protection elements set is zero or not, this paper can calculate the relative sequence matrix (RSM). The result shows that the algorithm mentioned above is very simple and effective.
