OBJECT-ORIENTED IMPLEMENTATION OF LARGE INTERCONNECTED POWER NETWORK FAULT CALCULATION SOFTWARE

With the gradual interconnection of large regional power networks into a national power network, the burden of power system analysis and calculation is increased accordingly. So the power system analyzing and calculating software should duly match the new requirements. This paper puts forward an object-oriented implementation of the fault calculating software by taking into account the characteristics of the large interconnected power networks. Such problems as the category hierarchy, the hierarchical encapsulation of the calculating functions, the comprehensive application of the fault calculating algorithms based on the nodal admittance matrix and nodal impedance matrix, and how the regional algorithm influences the calculating performance are discussed at length. The software based on this scheme has been found to perform very well in fault calculation for large interconnected power networks.
