DESIGN, IMPLEMENTATION AND APPLICATION OF A JAVA-BASED PLATFORM FOR ELECTRICITY MARKET AUCTION EXPERIMENTS

Electricity market auction experiment is a new approach for auction mechanism research, which falls into the area of experimental economics and provides an important method for electricity market mechanism design and evaluation. This paper introduces the design, implementation and application of a web-based platform for electricity market auction experiment. The platform can simulate the actual market environment, flexibly set the experiment parameters, strictly control the experiment process and facilitate recording, handling and analyzing of the experiment results, and therefore significantly improves the efficiency of electricity market auction experiments. The development of the platform lays a solid foundation for electricity market auction experimental research.
