THE EXTENSION OF THE COMMON INFORMATION MODEL TO ANALYSIS AND CONTROL OF AC/DC POWER SYSTEM

The common information model (CIM) is extended to analyze and control the AC/DC power system load flow. The CIM based data interface required by AC/DC power flow calculation is defined and the framework of AC/DC power flow is designed. Based on the semantics prescribed by the extended CIM proposed, a program of AC/DC power flow is presented. An advanced application software with the CIM-based AC/DC load flow embedded is developed. The application program is functionally independent and at the same time obeys the CIM standard in the data interface. It is expected that it will be helpful for implementing the plug-in application for AC/DC energy management system (EMS).
