A Novel Adaptive Harmonic Detecting Algorithm Based on Variable Step-size LMS

Based on variable step-size least mean square(LMS),this paper presents a novel adaptive harmonic detectingalgorithm,which uses the estimation of the time-average of error signal to control the updating of the step-size.It can providea fast convergence at the early stages of adaptation while ensuring a small final maladjustment even under low signal-to-noiseratio conditions.With the help of this algorithm,more flexible control of maladjustment and convergence time can be performedwithout the need to compromise one for the other.Theoretical analysis is also verified by simulation and experiment results.
