Bay-oriented Power System Network Topology Analysis

The bay is a collection of equipment within a given substation. A bay-oriented method for the power network topology analysis is proposed, in which the substation is divided into collections of interrelated equipment (bays), and all the possible states of the bays are analyzed topologically with the results stored in the database for reference. In the process of power network topology analysis, this method first obtains the result directly from the database after the topology analysis on the given bay, then analyzes the branch within the same substation and same voltage level, until the entire topology analysis is finally finished according to the power transformer and communication lines of substations. Actual application shows that the method is highly effective and reliable.
