Security Checking System for Daily Generation Scheduling of East China Power Grid and Its Expansion

GE Zhaoqiang, WANG Dexing, GE Minhui, WANG Liang, WANG Bin(East China Grid Company Limited, Shanghai 200002, China)  
The contents and characteristics of security checking system for daily generation scheduling of East China power grid are presented. The module configuration and mathematical model of this system are introduced around the practical implementation of the security checking system. The core algorithm, the security constrained economic dispatch (SCED), is discussed, and the similarities and differences between the SCED and the calculation processing of energy saving dispatching are compared. With minor modification on the input and output data of SCED and adding a new optimized module, the SCED can be applied to energy saving dispatch. A practical example is adopted to explain the functions of the security checking system.
