Modeling Method and Prototype Design for Wide-area Protection System for Substation Level

Based on the description of requirements of wide-area protection systems(WAPS) in substation level,the methods of information modeling for new WAPS are studied systematically.Some constructed elements for WAPS such as: the architecture,functions design,rational utilization of agent technology,standardization and extending of communication message,etc.are analyzed.Taking a new regional decentralized backup WAPS in substation level as an example,the prototype design and analysis of its architecture,agent technologies and interaction process are carried out.Several simulation tests verify the rationality of the design.
