DISCRETE DYADIC WAVELET TRANSFORM AND TNE APPLICATIONS IN FAULT ANALYSIS OF ELECTRIC MACNINES

The wavelet analysis theory is applied in fault analysis of electric machines in thispaper.By the cnd of 1980’s the wavelet analysis was applied in the areas of engineeringtechniques because of its excellent localization features in both time and frequency domains whichenables its zooming on high frequency parts of a signal and extracting fault signiture by usingwavelet transform. A dyadic wavelet model of discrete signal and wavelet fast algorithm(WFA)are presented in this paper. An example of a synchronous machine with single phase to groundfault is given and shows that the result is satisfied by using the method and computer programproposed in this paper.
