A NEW ALGORITHM FOR FAST DIGITAL PROTECTION

Tian Lijun, Lu Yuping, Chen Heng (Southeast University, 210096,Nanjing,China)  
In the paper a new method for fast calculating current and voltage magnitude is presented by use of two sine or cosine filters. The algorithm can effectively suppress DC offset components in fault current waveforms. Moreover, it is realised very easily, calculated results with reasonable accuracy can be obtained after two or three sampling periods of fault inception.
