Application of optic amplification technique in long distance power communication network

Relative to the repeater used in the traditional long distance optic fiber transmission system, fiber amplifier is the essential key device in the new generation fiber optic communication system. It is an important milestone on the development history of optic fiber communication. The paper introduced and discussed current application of various optic amplifiers in long distance optic transmission net, and also, through cases, discussed the applications of EDFA optic fiber amplifiers plus Ramam optic fiber amplifiers in practice. This can improve OSNR effectively, suitable for different optic fibers, such as G.652, G.655 etc., and promote systematic transmission performance very well.
