Effectiveness of osteosarcoma(report of 40 cases)

[Objective] To investigate the clinical treatment of patients with osteosarcoma.[Methods] Clinicaldata of 40 patients with osteosarcoma treated were retrospectively analyzed including image examination,pathologic examination and surgical procedure.[Results] The 5 years survival rate of 40 cases of osteosarcoma were 20%(8/40).The 5 years survival rate of complete resection were 60%(6/10).The 5 years survival rate of partial resection were 18%(2/11).[Conclusions] To treat osteosarcoma through surgery combined with neoadjuvant Chemotherapy is effective and minimally invasive treatment for patients.The 5 years survival rate of osteosarcoma improves from 10%~20% to 60%~80% now.Complete resection is the key for the treatment of osteosarcoma.
