Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm for IIR Digital Filters Design

A new method based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) is proposed to design the IIR digital filters. Using this method, global optimal can be found as to design filters with good performances. It is also an universal method for IIR filter design because specific filter structure and objective functions are not necessary. In the end, the simulation results proved the effectiveness of the proposed method.
