Review of Transmission Network Optimal Planning

This paper surveys the research status of electric network optimal planning.The static and dynamic models(considering the plan period),inflexible and flexible models(considering the information)and their corresponding solving algorithms,such as traditional heuristic,optimized and metaheuristic algorithms,are introduced.With each kind of model and algorithm,the authors compare and contrast the characteristics of them.The trends of research in transmission network expansion planning are also proposed.
