New Frequency Measuring Method in Power System

LUO Guang-fu, MEI Hong-wei, JI Yan-chao (School of Electrical Engineering and Automation,Harbin University of Technology, Harbin 150001, China)  
Frequency is a very important characteristic quantity in power systems. Frequency measuring acts a very important role in power system measuring equipments. This paper presents a useful method for frequency measuring. This method is easy to be implemented with small calculation, high precision and a good real-time performance. The validity of this proposed method is verified through numerical simulation in the case of taking account of original phase, the bits of A/D and the sampling frequency. The results prove that this method has some practical value.
