Transmission Power System Fault Diagnosis Based on Petri Nets and Expert System

A new method of fault diagnosis in transmission power system using Petri nets and expert system is presented. The fault section is estimated according to the acted circuit breakers information from SCADA;Acted relays and circuit breakers are found in the fault section by searching the "six value chart",then the results are compared to the information from SCADA.By this way the expert system can be described by mathematic means, and the diagnosis efficiency is improved by using Petri nets. It is proved to be effective,exact and all-purpose.
