Study on Oscillation Center

Based on investigation of the characteristics of the location and the movement of oscillation center, the reason for the movement of oscillation center is given. The definition of center of out-of-step,which lies in the tie-lines of out-of-step interface,is proposed. The paper also discusses the reason why the location of the center of out-of-step in different periods is likely to be different. If center of out-of-step lies in the interior of generator, the generator will be harmed severely and the whole system will be influenced. Based on the study of the movement of oscillation center, a criterion of determining whether the center of out-of-step will lies in the interior of the generator is proposed.Simulation is given as a necessary explanation.
