Analysis of Power System Transient Signal Based on Prony Algorithm

Dynamic process of power system is analyzed based on the accurate identify of power system transient signal's component.This paper analyzes the choice of the parameters,such as the sample frequency and the sample points,especially defines the dynamic variation ratio(DVR)and the signal to noise ratio(SNR)to select order.Through the analysis of the fault current of synchronous generator with sudden three-phase short circuit,the validity and the veracity of the order-choice-method is verified.The analysis of actual fault signal using Prony algorithm and the selection method of order proves the validity of Prony algorithm and the selection method of order.
