Security Constrained Unit Commitment with Photovoltaic Grid-Connected

Based on Benders algorithm,a security constrained unit commitment(SCUC)method with photovoltaic gridconnected is proposed. According to the 2-layer decomposition thought,the SCUC problem is decomposed into the unitcommitment without security constraints and the power flow detection in branches considering SCUC,thus the calcula-tion of main problem and sub-problem is formed,which can be solved by mixed integer programming(MIP). Aiming atthe detection of main problem,a shifted distribution factor of generation and a penalty variable are introduced to opti-mize the SCUC in terms of security and economical efficiency. The simulation in MATLAB and CPLEX indicates that,with the photovoltaic grid-connected IEEE 14-node system as a test example and as long as the security constraints aresatisfied,the overall running cost of the unit commitment decreases compared with that when the commitment is notphotovoltaic grid-connected. It is shown that the proposed method can coordinate the security and economical efficiencyfor the unit commitment.
