Short term economic dispatch of hydro-thermal coordinated system based on fuzzy optimization and interior point method

The uncertainty of water supplement should be considered in the short term economic dispatch model of hydro - thermal coordinated power system in market environment,its necessity and importance are analyzed. The common methods of short term hydro - thermal coordinated economic dispatch are summarized. An improved method is proposed,in which the fuzzy set theory is used to deal with the uncertainty of water supplement. The water supplement is fuzzed up by membership function and both the minimum fuel fee and minimum water consumption restraint are taken as optimization objectives. The fuzzy optimization is used to balance two objectives and the primal - dual interior point method with better convergence performance is used to solve this multi - objective fuzzy optimization problem. Application in a test system illustrates its effectiveness.
