Environmental and economic dispatch with reserve constraints and valve-point effects

CEED(Combined Environmental Economic Dispatch) is a dual-objective optimization,for which MAPPF(Modified Average Price Penalty Factor) is proposed to convert it into mono-objective optimization.With the consideration of the output power limitation area,the ramp constraint and the reserve constraint,HEP(Hybrid Evolutionary Programming) is introduced,which uses the local search disturbance to increase calculation accuracy and speed up final convergence while keeps the global optimization capability of EP(Evolutionary Programming).Local search operator is invoked if fitness evaluation improves,and the times of local search disturbance are changed dynamically and adaptively.Three CEED algorithms,EP with APPF,HEP with APPF and HEP with MAPPF,are compared for a 15-unit system and the test results show HEP with MAPPF has the best effectiveness.
