Effect of Na Cl Stress on Seedling Biomass and Photosynthetic Characteristics of Barley

This article studied the seeding biomass,salt injury index and photosynthetic characteristics of barley under different concentration of Na Cl stress based on the testing materials of salt resistant 12pj- 118 and salt sensitive 12pj- 045. The results indicated that with the increase of Na Cl concentration,two varieties' fresh weight,dry weight,relative fresh weight and relative dry weight had a downward trend. Under different concentration of salt stress,fresh weight and dry weight of salt tolerance 12pj- 118 fell less than salt sensitive 12pj- 045. Their relative fresh weight and relative dry weight were greater than 12pj- 045. Moreover,their salt injury index was significantly lower than 12pj- 045. It's indicated that the salt resistance of 12pj- 118 was better than another' s. Under the radiation intensity of a given simulation light 1 000μmol / m2/ s,with the increase of concentration of Na Cl,the net photosynthetic rate( Pn),stomatal conductance( Gs),transpiration rate( Tr) and chlorophyll content of these two varieties had a downward trend. Moreover,the change of two varieties' intercellular CO2concentration( Ci) was inconsistent. Under high concentration of salt stress,,the Pn,Gs,Tr and chlorophyll content of 12pj- 118 declined less than salt sensitive 12pj- 045.
