Principal Component Analysis of the Agronomic Traits of 12 Rice Varieties Cultivated Under Mulched Drip Irrigation Conditions

In the current research,12 rice varieties cultivated under mulched drip irrigation conditions were evaluated with respect to their major agronomic traits by using a principal component analysis.As a result,the variation coefficients of these varieties varied substantially with specific agronomic traits.Specifically,the variation coefficient of grain number per spike was the maximum(14.22%),while that of seed setting rate was the minimum(1.99%);the variation in potential yield was relatively high.On the other hand,the correlation analysis of the yield and agronomic traits of these varieties indicated that plant height and ear length were positively correlated and that yield and spike grain number were also positively correlated.The principal component analysis showed that four principal components collectively contribute to 84.33% of yield.
