Hydrogen production process of obligate anaerobic bacteria in fermentation tank

The characteristics of hydrogen production by obligate anaerobic strains P are studied with the method of batch culture.The effects of several ecological factors on hydrogen production ability are investigated in the sample and the fermentation tank,such as the growth cycle of bacteria P,the pH value,glucose concentration and molasses concentration.The results show that obligate anaerobic bacteria P is an efficient hydrogen production strain.After 10 h of growth,bacteria P comes into the logarithm growth period and the high-speed hydrogen production stage.When the conditions are controlled as glucose concentration of 10g/L,initial pH of 7.0 and vaccination ratio of 10%,the gas production yield of the sample and the fermentation tank both reach the maximum,i.e.485mL and 17.4 L,respectively.When NaOH solution is added continually for maintaining the pH value at about 7.0 in the fermentation tank,the hydrogen production per medium can reach 2.473 L,which is superior to that in the sample by 5%,with a glucose decomposition rate of 95.2% and a hydrogen mass fraction of 68.73%.The use of organic waste as fermentation substrate has broad economic benefits and environmental benefits.The optimal gas production ability is achieved with a molasses concentration of 35g/L,and the maximum gas volume in the fermentation tank will be up to 22 L.
