An Approximate Thermal Analysis for a Regenerative Heat Exchanger

This paper develops a method of an approximate thermal analysis for a regenerative heat exchanger based on the idea of reduced length and reduced period.The method divides the regenerator into several areas and can obtain the temperature distribution of the metal,flue gas and air.This can help to determine the location of the fouling and corrosion. The method is applicable when the reduced period is comparatively short.
