The City: the Controlled Problem of the Natural Resources in the Xia-Shang Period

The article mainly explores the Political and economic activities of the two Shang dynasty's cities in the Southern-Jin area, especially the problem to control and transport important natural material from the mutual relation of center-periphery system. It also consideres that the change of compact community form, particularly tbe prosperity and decline of city must be inspected from the angle of political and economic systems. The strategoic change of political center for robbing impotant natural resources from round areas usually influence the move of populations and prosperity and decline of city during tbe developing stage of chinese early country.
