Feasible Methods to Conserve the Great Sites in Southeast China:A Case Study of Jiangsu Province

Great site conservation has been a worldwide difficult problem in cultural relic conservation field.Jiangsu boasts numerous great sites with fruitful culture meaning,but now all these conserved sites are being affected by variety of factors to different degrees,especially threatened by manmade factors,thus forms the geographical features of conservation in Jiangsu(the Southeast China as well).Based on the successful conservation cases of the ancient city wall,the Ming Ancestral Mausoleum,the Yangzhou City-site,the Qingdun Site,etc.,and the effective tries of fallow greenbelt and city proper museum series,Jiangsu has explored and concluded the workable conservation methods combined of management and techniques,such as legal protection,planning protection,criterion protection,process conservation and utilization conservation,which will also guide the conservation in the developed eastern coastal area.
