CHANGES OF ULTRASTRUCTURE OF TISSUES IN FRUITS DURING RIPENING

Rao Jingping and Ren Xiaolin (Department of Horticultural Scieace Northwestern Agricultural University,Yangling Shaanxi 712100)  
The sarcocarp cell,the cell wall composition,the subcellular structure and the intercellular changes during fruit ripening period are comprehensively discussed in this paperbased on an electron microscope observation of the sarcocarp tissue change state duringfruit ripening period,hence revealing a close relationship between the changes of fruitcomposition and the changes of fruit maturity to senescence.

5 LI Xue-wen,ZHANG Hui,HAN Jiang,TENG Kang-ning(College of Food Science,Xinjiang Agricultural University,Urumqi 830052,China)The present study was performed to investigate the postharvest changes in respiration rate,firmness,chlorophyll content,and soluble solids content of fragrant pear fruit with three different maturities at harvest.The research indicated that the fragrant pear harvested at three different date showed the climacteric peak of respiration during the storage process.Fruit firmness declined rapidly due to postponing harvest date.The declines of firmness were slow after harvest.Chlorophyll content of fragrant fruit reduced along with later pick date,and broke down swiftly during storage period at room temperature.There was little difference between soluble solids contents of fruit from three different harvest date.They decreased during storage.;Changes in Postharvest Physiology and Quality of Fragrant Pear Fruit with Different Maturities at Harvest[J];Xinjiang Agricultural Sciences;2007-03
