CHANGES OF RNase AND ACID PH0SPHATASE IN COMMON WHEAT UNDER PHOSPHORUS DEFICIENCY STRESS

RNase activity was significantly enhanced among alien disomic addition lines of Agropyron elongatum-Chinese Spring under phosphorus deficiency stress. IEF of RNaseshowed that only extremely faint bands were observed on +P (CK) condition,in contrast with that the clear bands were induced under phosphorus deficiency stress. However,the induced bands were not specific to different addition lines. Acid phosphatase activity was also significantly increased with the varied extent under the stress condition incomparision with that on -P condition. IEF result of AcPh isozymes demonstratedthe induced bands within the range of pH 3-5 under the stress condition.
