Effect of NaCl stress on growth,chlorophyll content and K~+、Na~+ absorption of spring wheat seedlings

The seedlings of several spring wheat varieties Ningxia and several salt tolerance wheat materials from home and abroad were treated by different levels of NaCl.The results showed that NaCl stress had more serious inhibitory effect on shoot growth than that on root growth in wheat seedling.The main reason of NaCl stress on wheat seedling is ionic stress while osmotic stress is not significant.With the increasing of NaCl concentration,chlorophyll content was decreased obviously,Na + content was increased while K + content and the ratios of wheat K +/Na + were declined.Different varieties has different responses to different NaCl concentration.
