Preliminary study on water parameters of Populus euphratica and P.pruinosa by using P-V curve

Difference with water parameters and droght-resistance of Populus euphratica Oliv.and P.pruinosa Schrenk.are preliminary studied by using P-V technique under cultivation condition.The result showed that the mainly water parameters of P.pruinosa Schrenk.were lower significent than Populus euphratica Oliv.,but bound water and osmotic adjustment ability were higher than Populus euphratica Oliv.P.pruinosa Schrenk.has stronger drought-resistance ability under water stress.Comprehensive estimation showed that P.pruinosa Schrenk.has stronger ecological adaption ability to drought environment.
