Research Advances about the Defense Mechanisms for Plants to Enhanced Ultraviolet-B Radiation

With the destruction of ozone layer,ultraviolet-B radiation has been enhanced at the earth's surface.The enhanced UV-B radiation would affect plants in various extents.The current research status of defense mechanisms for plants to enhanced UV-B radiation and application of these mechanisms were reviewed.The main research fields involved plant growth,repair of reproduction system,secondary metabolism and biological macromolecules because of enhanced UV-B radiation and differences in responses of different plants to enhanced UV-B radiation.Furthermore,some suggestions for future research in this field were put forward.
