By the field experiment,we investigated the plant growth and development, yield, plant disease and insect pets on Aconitum carmichaeli to analysis the cause of continuous cropping;By lab general analysis,we measured the soil physic-chemical characters to discuss the mechanism of continuous cropping. With the years of continuous cropping, the plant heights, average stalk diameter, main root diameter and son root diameter on A.carmichaeli tend to be decrease. It is remarkable to affect the plant heights and average stalk diameter of continuous cropping on A.carmichaeli and the yield appears the great decrease. The plant disease and insect pests aggravate year after year.Continuous cropping makes soil pH decrease year after year, but organic matter increase and the contents of total N,available P,available K in soil are surplus.Because continuous cropping of A.carmichaeli increase the incidence of root rot,the yield of the A.carmichaeli declines.Soil pH may be a limit factor to refuse continuous cropping. Therefore, adjustment of the soil pH and adopting scientific fertilizing to improve soil condition will be an important approach to reduce the effect of continuous cropping.
