Study on Obstacle Effect of Succession Cropping on Pseudostellaria heterophylla

By the field experiment,we investigated the plants growth and development,yield on Pseudostellaria heterophylla on medicinal base in Shibing Countryside of Guizhou.We measured the soil physic-chemical characters,soil enzyme activity and soil microorganism to analysis the cause and discuss the mechanism of succession cropping.The results showed that,as succession cropping years increasing,the plant growth such as plant heights,main root diameters,shoot numbers and seeds tend to be decrease.There was significant difference of the output of above-ground of plants in different succession cropping years,and it was remarkable to affect the output of above-ground of plants of succession cropping.At harvest time,the yield,quantity of root and productivity appeared greatly decreased.The contents of available K,available N and available P were decreased,the contents of total N,total P were surplus,while the soil pH,and organic matter in soil was not clearly affected by succession cropping.The amounts of soil trace element(Cu,Mn,B,Zn,Fe)were increased,while Mo was decreased.The amount of soil bacteria showed remarkable reduction and the amount of actinomycetes in the first increased and then reduced in soil.The activity of amylase reduced significantly and the activity of phosphatase in the first reduced and then increasedin soil,while there was little effect on soil urease activity.The cropping obstacle may be related to decline of soil ecosystem caused by the imbalances about soil nutrients,soil microflora and soil enzyme activity.
