Observation of Chromosome Karyotypes of Artemisia frigida in Different Ecological Areas of Inner Mongolia

The tested materials were Artemisia frigida from different ecological areas of Inner Mongolia.The chromosomes of A.frigida were studied using the methods of basic carbolic fuchsine dyeing and the standards of karyotype analysis.The results showed that:the numbers of chromosomes of A.frigida have two ploidy:2n=18 and 2n=36;both A.frigida and A.frigida var.atropurpurea have diploid and tetraploid.
