Steam Temperature Control of the Primary Superheater of a 1000 t/h Once-through Boiler

In order to control the steam temperature at the outlet of the primary superheater of a 1000 t/h once-through boiler, the start up condition is analyzed in accordance with the concept of " isenthalpic switchover" and it is suggested that the ratio of fuel feed to steam flow through the primary superheater before the switchover during cold startup be used as the criterion for judgement. The static and dynamic characteristics of the steam temperature regulation, if the spray-type desuper heater located before the primary superheater is reinstated, are also analyzed. In addition, the dynamic response curve of the primary superheater and some other parameters are derived by using simplified equations of dynamic behaviour.
