Energy-Saving Superiority of Spiral Spline Tube Type

The F-130/39-P/I type boiler as evidenced in Leping Power Station can not operate for long time normally due to serious air leak-age and ash fouling of the Ljungstrom air preheater which makes it inadaptable to coals of lower quality. In 1991, the boiler's rear heat absorbing part was completely retrofitted by installing a new type two stage spiral spline tube air preheater instead of the original Ljungstrom one. The economizer was made double staged. Hereafter operation became satisfactory with remarkable gains in energy saving. Fig. 1 ,tables 2 and refs 5 .
