A General Correlation Between Non-Homogeneous Phase Ignition Temperature of Coke and Coal Category And Discrimination Indexes,Power Engineering

A general correlation between non-homogeneous phase ignition temperature of coke with coal category is found, with which dozens of coal species have been satisfactory discriminated. Being not only simple but also reliable, this method of prediction is well suited for engineering application. In addition to an index Fz, which indicates coke ignition characteristics, the paper proposes a criterion for distinguishing coke ignition together with a list of coke categories arranged according to their ease of ignition which may be helpful for engineering people and operators. Figs 6, tables 5 and refs 16.
