Theoretical Study on Measurement of Cross Section Temperature Distribution in Combustion Chamber with CCD Camera

The two dimensional temperature distribution based on the thermal image of flame can not discern the temperature variations along the altitude of combustion chamber. This paper presents a method to measure temperature distribution of the cross section at certain level. The radiative transfer equation is simplified according to radiative properties of coal combustion byproducts. The thermal image grabbed by CCD camera is processed to transform the luminous light signal into the spectral radiative signal. The scheme of detectors installation is also put forward. Finally, the numerical simulation is applied to analyze the feasibility of the method. This paper provided theoretical and technical basis for flame monitor. Figs 5 and refs 13.
