A Study of On line Measurement Technology for Size, Concentration and Velocity of Pulverized Coal

The operation condition of pulverized coal pipe in power plant is of affecting the safety of the unit. However, there are few methods for on line measurement of the pulverized coal. This paper presents the on line measurement of size, concentration and velocity of pulverized coal with light fluctuation and correlation method. An experimental set up was developed based on the theoretical study. Experiments in laboratory and in situ show that size, concentration and velocity of pulverized coal in different pipe from a mill are different. The size of pulverized coal in an abnormal running pipe is much larger than it is in a normal running pipe. The reason of blocking the pulverized coal pipe is too large size of pulverized coal.
