Tests on Fouling Condition of the Convection Heating Surfaces and Soot-blowing Optimization of a 600MW Set's Boiler

Ash fouling on heating surfaces of boiler causes operational economy and safety of boilers to decrease.Soot-blowing tests for various soot-blowing intervals and soot-blowing intensities have been carried out on a 600MW unit boiler of Zouxian Power Plant.The fouling conditions of the convection heating surfaces were real time monitored during the tests by an on-line calculation system,which was developed for the operational parameters of the boiler concerned.According to the experimental results and on-line monitoring records,an optimizing soot blowing model was built up,and an on-line optimized soot blowing system was developed.Operational results in the course of a few months of this system show that after having adopted the soot-blowing mode as suggested by the optimizing soot-blowing model,the average exhaust gas temperature dropped 6℃ compared with that before optimization,and the boiler efficiency increased for more than 0.3%.The economic effect is obvious.Figs4,table1 and refs7.
