Effect of Temperature on Reduction of NO by Reburning of Micro-Pulverized Coal

Reburning of micro-pulverized coal is one of the effective ways to control the emission of NOx in coal firing power plants.The influence of temperature on reducing NO_x by reburning has been studied in an experimental entraining flow reactor with 3 kinds of coal in the micro-pulverized state with and suitably mixed N_2,O_2,and N_2 serving as the simulated flue gas.Results show that,within the temperature range tested,the efficiency of NO_x reduction by reburning increases with the reburning zone's temperature and markedly more pronounced for micro-pulverized coal with high volatile content.For the same kind of coal,the effect of temperature on NO_x reduction gets more pronounced with increasing reburning fuel fraction.The influencing mechanism is being analyzed by the chemical kinetic theory.Figs 2,table 1 and refs 6.
