The Deviation Problem of Flue Gas Parameter Field in Four Corner Tangentially Fired Large Utility Boilers

Abstract Based on large amouts of performance date fed back from four corner tangentially fired utility boilers of 300 MW capacity and above, as well as on site test results, the paper points out that side to side deviations of flow, velocity and temperature fields are unavoidable in such kinds of boilers. The paper indicates in addition, the basic reason of tube bursting liable to occur in platen and last stage reheaters and why steam temperature deviations are ofter excessive, and suggests the best way of solving the problem.
