Position Estimator of SRM Based on Iterative Learning Identification

The estimation of rotor position and speed of a switched reluctance motor(SRM) drive without position sensors might boil down to a question of iterative learning identification.Considering the characteristics of the system model of SRM,nonlinear iterative learning identification controllers using PD-type learning law was proposed.Using phase voltage and phase current measured during the starting course of the SRM,the global identification of speed and rotor position curve within this course might be realized.The results prove the validity of the iterative learning identification method.
