GEOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND FORMATION ENVIRONMENT OF THE COAST-TYPE GRANITES IN THE FUJIAN-ZHEJIANG COASTAL AREA

Yang Wenjin Wang Liankui Zhang Shaoli Xu Wenxin(Institute of Geochemistry, Acadcmia Sinica)  
Based on field geology,petrochemistry and trace element data,coupled with the composition data for biotites,it is suggested that the coast-type granites in the Fujian-Zhejiang coastal area are a series of granites with genetic and evolutionary relations.This series of granites are predominated by K-feldspar granite and biotite granite.They differ in genesis from type-A granites and are designated to Series Ⅱ.In terms of evolution degree (E) two main evolution stages can be distinguished with respect to the coast-type granites.These granites and para-genetic volcanic rocks are both controlled by a NE-NW tectonic framework.It can be deduced that the coast-type granites in the Fujian-Zhejiang coastal area were formed in a special rift-like environment,which differs from the formation environment of East Pacific coastal granites of Series Ⅱ.It has been shown that the granite series with varying evolution degree and different lea'ding rocks could be formed in different environments.
