TRI-DIMENSION SPACIAL TOPOLOGICAL DIAGRAMS OF ORE LEAD ISOTOPES AND THEIR APPLICATION TO THE DIVISION OF GEOCHEMICAL PROVINCES AND MINERALIZATIONS

Based on a new method of topologically plotting lead isotopes in three-dimenson space,itcan be recognized that there exist six major Pb geochemical provinces in the continent ofChina.They are North China,South China,Yangtze-Qilian-South Tianshan,North Xin-jiang,Tibet,and Jiamusi of Heilongjiang.It is also indicated from the topological plotsthat the Pb isotopic compositions associated with gold mineralization are evidently distingui-shed from those of gold-baren areas,and that there exist distinguishable Pb isotopic featuresfor other mineralizations.Lead isotopic evidence further suggests that the North and SouthChina terranes are geochemically independent old massifs,and the Yangtze is a transition ter-rane.The Pb isotope features provide the theoretical basis for isotope geochemical prospectingof gold deposits.
