Abundances of chemical elements in granitoids of China and their characteristics

SHI Chang-yi, YAN Ming-cai, LIU Chong-min, CHI Qing-hua, HU Shu-qi, GU Tie-xin, BU Wei, YAN Wei-dong (Institute of Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration, Chinese Academy of Geol ogical Sciences, Langfang 065000, China)  
About 6 080 samples were collected mainly from about 750 large to mi ddle representative granitoid bodies in whole China and they were combined into 768 composited samples for being analyzed in the laboratories. All the samples w ere processed and prepared by the contamination-free preparing scheme. About 70 elements of Ag, As, Au, B, Ba, Be, Bi, Cd, Cl, Co, Cr, Cs, Cu, F, Ga, Ge, Hf, H g, In, Li, Mn, Mo, Nb, Ni, P, Pb, Rb, S, Sb, Sc, Se, Sn, Sr, Ta, Th, Ti, Tl, U, V, W, Zn, Zr, SiO2, TiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, FeO, MnO, MgO, CaO, Na2O, K2O, P2O5, H2O +, CO2, Ce, Dy, Er, Eu, Gd, Ho, La, Lu, Nd, Pr, Sm, Tb, Tm, Y and Yb were analy zed with multiple advanced reliable analytical methods relying mainly on ICP-MS , INAA and XRF. National preliminary geochemical certified reference materials s uch as GSR-1, GSR-2, GSR-4, GSR-5, GSR-14, GSS-9, GSD-9, GSD-1a, GAu-10 , GAu-11, Au-2, GAu-8, GAu-9 and duplicates were used to monitor rigidly the analysis quality in order to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical data. Based on the actual analytical data, the total average chemical compositio ns and element abundances of about 67 chemical elements of SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, F eO, MgO, CaO, Na2O, K2O, H2O+, CO2, TFe2O3, Ag, As, Au, B, Ba, Be, Bi, Cd, Cl, Co, Cr, Cs, Cu, F, Ga, Ge, Hf, Hg, Li, Mn, Mo, Nb, Ni, P, Pb, Rb, S, Sb, Sc, Se, Sn, Sr, Ta, Th, Ti, Tl, U, V, W, Zn, Zr, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho , Er, Tm, Yb, Lu and Y in China's granitoids, granitoids in different geotectoni c units and different geological ages are calculated and presented in this paper . It is sufficiently discussed on the distribution patterns of petrochemical par ameters, trace element contents and rare earth element distributions of the gran itoids. δvalue of Chinas granitoids is 2.12,K/Na=1.22,A/CNK=1.1,C/ACF=0.13 , ∑REE=168, LREE=133.2, HREE=15, LREE/HREE=8.91, (La/Yb)N=9.34,δEu=0.597. Dist ribution patterns of element abundances in the granitoids of different geologica l ages are different. They have different features. Element abundances of the gr anitoids in different geotectonic units are very difference. Different geotecton ic units have different features of element abundances. It shows that element ab undance has some regional features.
