THE DIVISION OF GLOBAL GIGANTIC TECTONIC SYSTEM AND MINEROGENETIC PROVINCE

This paper deals with the initial study of the basic theory and principle of global gigantic tectonic-minerogenetic zones from the global point of geomechanics.The authors think that, globally speaking, continental and oceanic gigantic tectonic zones have unified identities. The primitive fracture of planets was the basis for the formation of gigantic tectonic systems. The change in the speed of the rotation of the earth has adjusted the direction of the stress field of gigantic tectonic zones. The authors have divided the main gigantic tectonic zones of the globe into latitudinal, longitudinal, diagonal and island-arc tectonic systems, each of which includes several gigantic tectonic zones of their own.This paper mentions five basic principles of the division of global minerogenetic province with a sketch of the gigantic tectonic systems.
