ON THRUST-NAPPE AND GLIDING-DETACHMENT ON BOTH SIDES OF MUFUSHAN-JIULING UPLIFT AND ASYMMETRICAL TECTONIC ARCHITECTURE OF MOUNTAIN

The Mufushan-Jiuling is situated on the central section of the Jiangnan Paleo-axis, consisting of Proterozoic. On the south side is the Pinglc trough, and on the north side is the Jianghan trough. On the south side of this anticlinoriurn occurred a thrust-nappe systems which thrusts from north to south, directed toward the pingle trough. On the north side occurred a gravitational gliding-detachment system, which slides from south to north, directed toward the Jianghan trough. In structure and mechanism both systems arc different from each other, but they occurred during the same tectonic phase, the Yanshanian. Two systems construct an asymmetrical tectonic architecture of the Mufushan Jiuling, and respond to the regional inhomogeneous horizontal eomprosion, uplifting, extension and gravitational gliding.
