THE APPLICATION AND INVESTIGATION OF MAGNETOTEL-LURIC SOUNDING FOR DETERMINING REGIONAL GEO-ELECTRIC STRUCTURE IN CENTRAL HUBEI

Major results of magnetotelluric sounding along the traverse of Yidu-Hongan, Hubei Province are presented in this paper. The boundary between Yangzi platform and Qinling geosyncline has been reinterpreted. The deep geoelectric structure in Central Hubei is analyzed in detail. The paleotectonic framework and features of regional tectonics are discussed. The methods of interpretation of magnetotelluric data are simply introduced.
